THE CRIMINAL MINDS
are original ambassadors of the once again thriving britcore scene.
The Criminal Minds are one of the leading UK Hardcore hip hop groups, bringing an original style to the industry for more than 2 decades. Rugged, raw, rapid and ruthless, like a UK Public Enemy perhaps, TCM rank alongside legends of Britcore hip hop such as Hijack, the Demon Boyz and Silvah Bullet. The crew later moved into making rave / early jungle style tracks like the the classic "Baptised By Dub".' and have just had their early work rereleased on the seminal REPHLEX records. UNITED VIBRATIONS
theyve been on Jools Holland's show, rocked the RoundHouse and if you get a chance, grab this weeks edition of the 'Big Issue'. for a two page spread about these guys.. try not to be put off by Justin Bieber on the front cover.
Four piece London collective, a tour de force of different musical styles (punk, African, aboriginal, moody rock à la Radiohead) rooted under a jazz umbrella...
The band produce a hypnotic unique melange of sound; there is the rootsical draw of ska guided by the trombone; the tribal chants of West Africa; rhythm of aboriginal music; celestial lyricism of Sun Ra; and importantly some expert blending of rock and jazz.
Debut album, "Galaxies Not Ghettos", released on CD/Vinyl 25th March 2011

REAL FUR (Safari Funk)
East-End band Real Fur have been redefining the conventional gig venue by hosting parties in everyday establishments such as laundrettes and closed-down Post Offices.

With Real Fur you get all sorts of influences cleverly congregating like a like a flock of well-trained pigeons ready to shit on the bands around them. Talking Heads-inspired oddities, tropical guitars, with a hatful of contagious choruses and an ability to create hooks so addictive you'd think there was a Coca-Cola-inspired illegal secret ingredient.
Along with Real Fur's performance, these 'Safari Funk' events present the work of artists, film-makers, and other musicians.

The first Safari Funk tour of the UK is booked for May 2011.
